Realizing the importance of primary education, the present government nationalized the private primary school in Shantiganj Upazila. The post of Head Teacher of Government Primary Schools is raised by one step in the pay scale of Assistant Teachers with promotion to the grade of ... In order to reduce teacher: student and student: classroom ratio, .......... public teachers have been appointed along with the creation of new posts in this upazila. Pre-primary education has been introduced in government primary schools to ensure 100% enrollment. In the light of the actual demand, 01 office guard post has been created in each government primary school, out of which, office guard has already been appointed in .......... schools and the remaining schools are recruiting in process In order to create conducive learning environment at the school level, installation of tube wells ..........t and washbulk ..........t have been completed. ........... t free textbooks have been distributed to all students for completion of compulsory primary education. Moreover, stipends have been given to .......... public students under the education support program for poor families with the aim of completing primary education with prevention of schooling. ........... Student Council has been formed in T Primary School. Through decentralization of school-based development planning .......... for implementation of School Level Improvement Plan (SLIP) in primary schools per school annually ................... /- to 00000/- is being allotted Rs. Since the year 2000, primary and secondary school final examinations are being conducted regularly. Since 2012 Bangabandhu and Bangamata Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament is being conducted. As a result Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament of Shantiganj Upazila participated in divisional level on 20th.

5. Reduced storm surge rates.
